Hey Danny I am reading something wrong or did you say that Simon is engineering the NEW! X recording. Just want to make sure on that. Did not want to get excited over nothing. It is amazing if it is happening not because it shouldn't but because there has been no talk of it on the X forum or Virgil's site. Very cool if it is happening now.

NEW Planet X CD. Simon mentioned that the guys gave him quite a bit of creative license from the engineering/producing perspective as well. He did one of the tracks and played it for the guys, not really sure how they would react at all. They gave him a big thumbs up much to Simon's surprise. You never know how someone will react to YOUR take on THEIR material, if you know what I mean.

Other than what Simon was talking about, I really don't have more detailed information.

On another note for local LA folks, there's a new pro drum shop that opened up just down the street from Cordiale. It's in a PURPLE building on Ventura. Can't miss it. I met the owners at the show and they seem to be very plugged in.

If anyone checks it out, please share the findings.

Simon is evidently a VERY busy cat, & much sought after for his expertise in many musical "arenas"... most musicians "should be so lucky" [aka blessed]...

Aha, I thought you meant small video clips when you referred to the "previews". I had already listened to the songs available, but thank you anyway! It won't take too long before we can see the visible previews on the site, I hope.

I also listened to Luke's acoustic guitar solo on the site, and that was really good! Not included on the DVD, though.

Actually, I saw the preview on the TV station that my local cable company broadcasts the "TV Guide menu" on [Ch 99 here] - i think it is going to be on "Pay-Per-View," & they were advertising it... anyway, showed some good shots of Simon playing some of his tight grooves & fills....
